This large Christmas embroidery design captures all the anticipation of the holidays: a little mouse stands on a spool of thread and decorates her Christmas tree with straw stars, bells, buttons and strings of red berries. Beneath the tree, which stands in a linen sack, the first presents are already waiting. A richly detailed Christmas design for your machine and your large 16 x 26 cm (6 x 10 in) hoop.
The mouse can hardly wait for Christmas and trims her tree just like we all do in the weeks before the holidays. A few gifts have already piled up under the tree, and you can almost feel how close the big day is.
I stitched the design onto a gift sack, and when I say large, I mean it: at 42 x 52 cm (16.5 x 20.5 in), it holds a whole pile of presents. At this size, the embroidery file is perfect for big, decorative projects such as cushions, tote bags or chair covers.
The design is part of my Christmas collection Weihnachtsfreuden (Christmas Delights), together with the Christmas Garland with Mouse and Robin, the two mice Under the Mistletoe, the bunny with the Christmas Mail, the Christmas Chickens and the Mini Set with ITH Heart. If you know my first Christmas series Weihnachtsglück (Christmas Joy), you will find more matching designs there, such as the Star Money Mouse, the donkey and the robin with a star.
Like all my designs, I drew this one by hand before my test team stitched it out.

For embroidering linen and other heavy, non-stretch woven fabrics with a sufficiently firm tear-away stabilizer, approx. 50 g/m² (1.5 oz/yd²), used double. My sample is stitched on linen.
